Switzerland

Switzerland was absolutely my favorite stop on the trip. We visited the LDS temple which was beautiful. Bern was nice and reminded me of a very upscale Park City, Utah, but the best part was the quaint mountain village, Wengen, where we stayed a few nights.

This was the smallest city we’d stayed in, and likely the safest. We rode a gondola up the mountain and hiked down for the better part of a day, played tennis on clay courts, went canyoneering in the Swiss Alps, and played sand volleyball every night. The cities we’d been visiting for the weeks previous were wonderful, but Wengen was a break from the highly populated streets teaming with people, noise and endless places to see.

The hotel had no elevator, we were on the top floor..maybe fourth? and our room somewhat resembled harry potter’s room beneath the stairs multiplied by two, but I would go back in a heartbeat. Seriously. In fact the worst part about Wengen was that the pictures do it no justice, whatsoever.
